Workout With Pride with Mark Hughes

Want to work on your fitness goals with other LGBTQ+ folk? Mark Hughes, the founder of Workout with Pride, has just the answer..

Why did you feel the need to start Workout with Pride?

I started Workout with Pride when my closest friends relocated to Australia. I was in search of a new social circle that did not solely focus on partying and drinking. During this period, I also spoke with many individuals who wanted to increase their confidence in working out.

What should we expect from classes?

Workout with Pride provides a safe, inclusive environment for queer people and allies who want to feel good in their bodies by celebrating all shapes, sizes, and strengths through the different stages of our lives. We run multiple classes in various studios across London, with our weekly timetable consisting of strength training, PT, yoga, boot camps, and spin. We’ll give you lots of knowledge, a fun workout for all levels, and plenty of sass!

We hear there are some socials afterwards…

After each class, we host a post-workout meal at different restaurants so our members can socialise. Once a month, we host more significant events such as trips abroad, theatre outings, hikes, and many fitness-related charity events.

How can people get involved over the summer?

We have a lot going on in June! On the 21st, we’re hosting a Pride panel at Gymshark’s new flagship store on Regent Street. Then on July 1st, we have a special workout planned for Pride at Top Notch Gyms in Soho. This will also mark the official start of our summer timetable.

Everyone is welcome to join us.
The best way to get in touch is through Instagram or our website, which contains all the necessary information.
