There’s something magical about London in June. Rainbow flags appear in windows, community groups step into the spotlight, and our city becomes an even more visible celebration of LGBTQ+ life, culture and creativity.
Whether you’re gearing up for Pride season, planning your next night out, or simply looking for inspiration, we’ve packed this issue with plenty to keep you entertained.
This month, we’re taking a deep dive into the world of sex, fetish and kink as we shine a spotlight on Fetish Week London, which returns this July for its biggest and boldest edition yet. From leather and latex to community, education and self-expression, we explore why fetish culture remains such an important and visible part of LGBTQ+ life.
Elsewhere, we celebrate the incredible diversity of queer culture across the capital. We preview Woolwich Works’ Pride programme, catch up with the team behind Tender as the acclaimed queer thriller returns to the Bush Theatre, and meet Jeremy C. Bradley to discuss his powerful new novel, Three Days Grace.
We’re also tackling some important conversations. Marc Svensson from You Are Loved speaks openly about mental health, loneliness and loss within our community, while Queer Britain continues its vital work preserving and celebrating LGBTQ+ history through a packed Pride season of exhibitions and events.
