It’s Vault 139’s fifteenth birthday this Saturday and it’s hosting one of its infamous blacklight parties again…
2008. That’s a year that somehow manages to feel both ten minutes ago and a century ago at the same time. So much has changed but just has much stayed the same.
This was when Vault 139, a humble subterranean cruise joint not too far from gay Soho, opened its doors for the first time. In the proceeding years, hundreds of thousands of guys have descended the steps into this low-lit pit of pleasure and left a couple of hours later with a huge grin on their face.
How do you mark a decade-and-a-half of horny homosexual action? Well, you host a neon-themed 8-hour blowout, that’s what.
The day starts with a fully-clothed CRUISE session between 1pm and 7pm, but the festivities really start after this point with Cum and Glow. This is when the blacklight comes out and DJ Little Rob hops onto the decks.
If you’ve got some neon underwear or a harness in your wardrobe, feel free to throw it on and watch it come to life under the lights. At the same time, you’re more than welcome to give your fetish gear an airing or even just go completely starkers — the choice is yours.
