The World AIDS Day RED RUN returns once again this NOVEMBER

Having raised more than £650,000 since 2019, the annual Red Run can lay claim to being one of the UK’s biggest HIV community events and it returns once again at the end of this month.

Participants can choose either the 5km or 10km route around Victoria Park, and run or walk their way around the course. As has become tradition, Horse Meat Disco will be blasting out some motivating tunes, while hosts Miss Ruby V, Tom Rasmussen, House of Dynasty and Shirly du Naught will be adding a little sparkle to proceedings. The UK AIDS Memorial Quilt will also be on display.

Although it’s organised by Positive East, all the money raised goes to a range of charities working in the HIV sector, whether in prevention or caregiving to those affected. It’s also a fantastic yearly opportunity for bringing the community together and fighting HIV stigma.

If you’ve not got yourself a place, there’s still more than enough time to train and get up to speed. Why not dust off your workout gear and get involved?
