In partnership with Kent Cricket Foundation and Out4Cricket, the club is all about opening the game up, no gatekeeping, no awkwardness, just a solid mix of sport and community.
The vibe is simple. Turn up, give it a go, meet people, and be part of something. Their regular taster sessions are designed to ease you in, so if the idea of cricket feels a bit intimidating, this is your low-pressure way in. For those who already know their way around a pitch, there’s plenty of opportunity to get stuck into proper training and matches too.
And they’re not just here for a casual knockabout. The Icons are building something with real momentum. With members travelling in from across Kent, the team is gearing up for a big summer, including a trip to Birmingham this June to compete against other LGBTQ+ teams for cup glory. Training sessions are already ramping up, and there’s a clear sense that this is just the beginning.
Behind it all is a passionate founding team, Jack Kellam, Marcus Law and Thom Waters, alongside LGBTQ+ ambassador Jordan Chan, who’s helping drive visibility and community engagement. The mission is clear: grow the club, get more people involved, and keep building a space where LGBTQ+ people feel comfortable showing up as themselves.
