Leather, rubber, pups and plenty of after-dark mischief. Recon is heading back to Vauxhall on Friday 9 October, and the city’s fetish crowd has a date with the dark side.
Summer might be over, but London’s fetish scene is showing absolutely no signs of cooling down. Recon London is returning to FIRE for another gloriously filthy night of music, cruising and play, taking over the club’s arches from 10pm until 4am.
The team is bringing back some of its most popular features alongside a few new additions, transforming the venue into a playground for guys who like their Friday nights with a little more edge.
Expect dedicated play spaces, a maze, slings and BDSM areas, alongside a dancefloor serving up pop and house. There’s also a second-hand gear shop for anyone looking to expand their fetish wardrobe, multiple bars and an outdoor smoking area for those much-needed breathers between the action.
And if you fancy making a proper night of it, VIP tickets get you a separate fast-track entrance, access to an exclusive lounge with its own DJ, bar and hosts, complimentary champagne while stocks last, a changing area and free coat check.
Dress to impress? More like dress to express. Leather, rubber, sportswear, uniforms, skinhead and punk looks are all welcome. Even a suit and tie gets the nod if that’s your particular kink. Just remember that fetish gear is compulsory: everyday streetwear and nudity alone won’t get you through the door.
The event is open to gay, bi, queer, curious and trans men who identify as male, aged 18 and over. A valid physical photo ID is required, and last entry is at 3am.
So, give that rubber a polish, dig out your favourite harness and get ready to get reacquainted with FIRE’s darker corners.
