This month, latex-masters Libidex are hosting another one of their infamous pop-up shops
Like the protestations of an uppity bottom on Grindr, latex is a lot more versatile than people make it out to be. Yes, it’s most associated with the fetish community, but it can also be high-fashion, great for costumes and eye-catching on the dance floor – basically it’s a no-fucks-given material that can be whatever you want it to be.
Since starting in 1989, Libidex are one of the leading retailers of latex clothing in the world and sells everything from catsuits and shirts, to hoods and wrestling singlets – think of an item of clothing and chances are they’ve made a latex version of it. They have a shop in Covent Garden where you can flick through the rails and feel their teasingly taut garments in between your fingers for yourself, but they also host pop-up shops throughout the year that offer hefty discounts on some of their items.
Between Wednesday 27th and Friday 29th October, they’re opening one such temporary store in Islington, where everything on display will have 50 to 80% off. This includes their latest men’s range, with sizes varying from XXS up to 6XL. If you’ve ever been tempted to get involved in the rubber world or if your collection just needs some refreshing now that the clubs are back open, this is the perfect opportunity to nab yourself a bargain.
3 St Albans Place, N1 0NX, Wednesday 27th-Friday 29th October, 12pm-7pm everyday (except Friday, 12pm-6pm)
