Get WET FEET at Union Theatre this June!

Written by Michael Neri and directed by Dominic Rouse, presented by Alistair Lindsay for unusual Theatre. Wet Feet tells the story of an encounter between two men in a gay sauna that lasts longer than your typical steamy dalliance.

Nathan is an out and proud gay man, while Franko (played by Neri himself) lives his life in the long shadow of Section 28. Throughout this poignant comedy, the towel-clad pair get to know each other a little better and a heart-warming connection is formed.

In the confines of a gay sauna, Nathan, an out and proud young gay man, and Franko,
trapped in the shadows of the oppressive legacy of Sec\on 28, find themselves in an
awkward encounter. As the steam rises on their escapades, a hilarious and heart-warming
connec\on deepens… Wet Feet is a poignant comedy about two lives that collide in the
most unlikely of places, sparking a journey towards liberation and authenic connecion.

Writer Michael Neri said: “I am thrilled to be bringing a new LGBTQ+ play to
London & Birmingham during Pride month. Both are vibrant and diverse city’s and so serve as the perfect stage to celebrate love in all its forms. I hope Wet Feet demonstrates the beautiful spectrum of human love and identity and fosters conversations that inspire changeand new thinking.”

Wet Feet is a two hander, it stars Michael and debuts Mathew Edgar, it is directed by
Dominic Rouse and designed by Off West End 2023 costume award winner, Reuben Speed.

The play will enjoy a London run at the end of June, but there’s also the chance to catch it at The Old Joint Stock Theatre in Birmingham on the 13th and 14th of June.
