A major new LGBTQ+ party is preparing to burst onto London’s nightlife scene this September, taking over all three rooms of Scala for one very big opening night.
London’s queer calendar is about to get a sizeable new addition. RUSH launches at the iconic Scala in King’s Cross on Friday 25 September, promising packed dancefloors, performers and plenty of unapologetic queer energy until 5am.
Created as more than another night at the club, RUSH wants every party to feel like a proper event. The kind you plan for, dress for and spend the following day piecing back together in the group chat.
Its launch will transform Scala into a multi-room queer playground, bringing eight DJs together across three distinct spaces, each with its own musical flavour.
The Main Room will be powered by techno and house, with sets from AD HOC, Liam Parsons, J. Aria and Hendrik Milan. Those after a shameless pop moment can head upstairs to the Attic, where Airdy and Dom Topics will be in charge. Down in the Foyer, Dani St. James and Perdiem will serve disco and house throughout the night.
Across the venue, dancers and performers will add to the spectacle, creating a night designed to feel exciting from the moment you step through the doors.
Musically, expect everything from house, tech house and circuit sounds to pop remixes and disco house. There’ll be room to lose yourself on the dancefloor, catch your breath with friends and, if the night is feeling particularly generous, meet someone new before the lights come back on.
At the heart of RUSH is a desire to bring different corners of London’s LGBTQ+ community together under one roof. Whether you arrive with a full entourage or turn up solo and see where the night takes you, the welcome remains the same. No attitude, no pretence, just a big queer night out built around music, performance and connection.
Scala makes a suitably dramatic home for the party’s first chapter. The former cinema has hosted generations of artists, clubbers and performers, with its multiple levels and famously theatrical Main Room lending themselves rather nicely to a full-scale queer takeover.
London already appears ready to RUSH. Both Early Bird and First Release tickets have sold out, with the next ticket release now available. So if you fancy being there at the very beginning, don’t hang about for too long.
