Fetish Week London starts today (5 July), and for the next eight days, London’s fetish scene takes centre stage.
Now in its 15th year, it’s grown into one of Europe’s biggest international fetish gatherings, bringing thousands of gay, bi, queer, trans and fetish-loving men to the capital for a week of parties, gear, workshops, social events and community. ELECTROWERKZ once again becomes the festival’s home, with events also taking place across Soho, Clapham and elsewhere in the city.
Whether you’re into leather, rubber, sportswear, uniforms, pups, neoprene or still figuring out what your thing is, there’s a place for you here.
The week begins with the Recon Members’ Party before rolling into a packed programme that includes the new Fetish Cabaret, a screening of Pillion, Masterclasses, the Gear Market and Social Hub, Sports Cruise, Rubber Gear and, of course, Full Fetish, the festival’s legendary closing party.
Full Fetish remains the headline event, taking over every corner of ELECTROWERKZ with dancefloors, play spaces, cruising areas and places simply to hang out with friends. This year also introduces a dedicated neurodivergent chill-out space, alongside daily sober meet-ups throughout the festival.
One of the things Fetish Week does particularly well is remembering that fetish isn’t just about what happens on the dancefloor or behind closed doors. The Masterclass programme explores consent, mental health, power exchange, rope bondage, chastity and identity, recognising that the scene is built as much on trust, education and community as it is on gear.
The Gear Market and Social Hub is another highlight, bringing together some of the biggest names in fetish retail alongside second-hand gear, workshops, DJs and plenty of opportunities to meet people. Whether you’re replacing well-worn leathers, buying your first harness or just fancy seeing what’s out there, it’s one of the friendliest parts of the week.
Fetish Week also continues to make sure the fetish community remains visible within the wider LGBTQ+ community. Team Recon once again marched at Pride in London, celebrating the role leather, rubber, BDSM and fetish communities have always played in our shared history.
