London loves a chaotic little day party, and this one comes with drag queens, bingo nonsense, pop bangers and a reality TV guest thrown in for good measure.
Saturday Service is landing at Betty & Joan’s on Saturday 21st March, turning the venue into a gloriously camp daytime playground from 12:30pm to 5pm. Expect a room full of queers, big laughs, and the kind of afternoon that quickly turns into a dancefloor moment.
At the centre of the chaos is Traitors Bingo, hosted by drag favourite Miss Leigh Ding. Think iconic quotes, shady moments and references to the BBC smash The Traitors, all turned into bingo calls. And yes, there’s a special appearance from Diane Carson, so fans of the show will definitely want to be in the room.
The drag energy doesn’t stop there. Performances are lined up from Sateva Eva and Megan Mia Gemini, while DJs Dallyn and Helly Heart (the duo behind Silly B!tch Disco) keep the room moving with wall-to-wall pop anthems.
So yes, the vibes are strong. But there’s a bigger reason this party exists.
Saturday Service is presented by Booty Call CIC, a community organisation founded by London DJ Daniel Edwards after he was diagnosed with stage 3 bowel cancer at 42. Rather than stepping away from nightlife, he decided to bring cancer awareness directly into LGBTQ+ spaces, the places where the community already gathers.
The idea is simple. If people are already together having a great time, that’s the perfect moment to start conversations about health and encourage people to get checked.
Daniel puts it best: if people turn up for the drag queens and leave remembering to check their bum, the mission has worked.
And that’s what makes this event feel a little bit special. It’s joyful, unapologetic and properly fun, but it’s also about looking out for each other. Every ticket helps Booty Call CIC expand its work tackling health inequalities and raising cancer awareness across LGBTQ+ communities.
So grab your friends, grab a drink, shout along to the bingo calls and have a dance. If London’s queer scene does anything well, it’s turning a party into something that actually matters.
And honestly, drag queens, Traitors bingo and pop anthems before 5pm sounds like a very good way to spend a Saturday.
