This Saturday, 25 July, Elephant Pride returns to Elephant Park for a full day of music, drag, DJs and community celebration, proving once again that Elephant & Castle is rapidly becoming one of London’s most exciting destinations for queer culture with a fabulous headliner – ABSOLUTE BRITNEY!
Running from 2pm until 10pm and completely free to attend, the festival will transform the park into a colourful celebration of LGBTQ+ life, bringing together local residents, visitors and community groups for one giant South London party. And it’s a sign of something bigger happening in the area.
For years, Soho has been the spiritual home of LGBTQ+ London, but increasingly, queer communities are finding new spaces across the capital. Elephant & Castle has emerged as one of those places, with a growing number of LGBTQ+-owned businesses, events and venues helping create a vibrant and welcoming scene south of the river. Elephant Pride has become the beating heart of that movement.
The festival has grown year on year, attracting thousands of people and creating a space that feels distinctly local while welcoming everyone through its doors, or in this case, through the park gates.
The line-up for 2026 is packed with talent, from live performances and DJs to some familiar faces from London’s queer nightlife scene. Headlining this year’s event is Absolute Britney, presented by Night of 1000 Club and performed by the brilliant Lucy Rose. Expect all the iconic hits, plenty of nostalgia and enough Britney energy to have the entire park singing along.
Also appearing throughout the day are Megan Reign, Brambley Apple, Horologica and Mikee, alongside DJ sets from Helly Heart, Dallyn, Phil Marriott, Richie Rich, Ali Way, Tommy Tempo and Mark Jason. Whether you’re there to dance in the sunshine, meet friends or simply soak up the atmosphere, Elephant Pride is designed to be an open and welcoming event for everyone. That’s part of what makes it special.
Pride events come in all shapes and sizes, but there’s something particularly lovely about a community festival that invites people to gather, celebrate and connect in a relaxed setting. Elephant Pride champions the diversity, creativity and resilience of London’s LGBTQ+ communities while shining a spotlight on the people and organisations helping those communities thrive.
This year’s festival is supported by sponsors including Betty & Joan’s, The Queer Comedy Club and Gymbox, reflecting the growing network of businesses investing in LGBTQ+ life in Elephant & Castle and helping keep the event completely free to attend.
And if you’re not ready to call it a night at 10pm, don’t worry. The official Elephant Pride After Party takes place at Betty & Joan’s, where the celebrations continue into the early hours. Expect DJs and sets from Pop Mafia, Blow Me, Groovalicious and Silly Bitch Disco, alongside plenty of Pride-night energy. As London’s LGBTQ+ scene continues to evolve, events like Elephant Pride remind us that community doesn’t stand still. It grows, finds new homes and creates new traditions.
