Not every night out in Soho needs to end in a club at 3am. Sometimes the perfect plan is a great cocktail, a gorgey seat, a sexy setting, and a drag queen absolutely serving a show a few feet away.
That’s exactly what Cocktails & Cabaret in the Lounge at Ku Bar is all about.
Running Sunday and Tuesday through Friday, the Ku Lounge turns into a cabaret playground where the drinks are flowing, the queens are performing, and the whole room settles into that deliciously chaotic Soho energy.
Each night has its own theme, but the formula stays the same: perfectly mixed cocktails, brilliant performers, and a room full of gays who clearly weren’t planning on going home early.
Tuesdays and Sundays are all about The Drag Lounge, a rotating showcase of some of London’s fiercest drag talent. Expect comedy, live vocals, cheeky banter, and the occasional moment where the whole room ends up cheering a high note.
Wednesdays belong to Vicki Vivacious, Ku’s resident Cornish queen and a familiar face from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. Her weekly shows bring big personality, plenty of sass, and the kind of cabaret energy that makes a random Wednesday suddenly feel like a proper night out.
On Thursdays, it’s the turn of Luna, who brings her own brand of glittery chaos to the Lounge with songs, comedy, and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. It’s the kind of show where the room quickly goes from casual drinks to full-on cabaret applause.
Then Fridays kick off with Let’s Have a Kiki, hosted by RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Kiki Snatch. Expect songs, splits, cocktails, and a lot of screaming laughter. Honestly, it’s the perfect way to start a Soho Friday before the rest of your night unfolds.
What makes these nights so much fun is the setting. The Ku Lounge has that classic Soho feel, intimate, lively, and just a little bit mischievous. One minute you’re chatting over cocktails, the next the whole room is clapping along while someone hits a dramatic final note.
You’ll probably arrive for “just one drink”.
