Brighton Bear Weekend 2021 just days away!

The 10th live Brighton Bear Weekend 2021, the long-awaited community event, is now only a matter of days away. Having held a series of virtual events last year, due to COVID-19 lockdowns, the organisers have confirmed an exciting, varied live schedule for this coming weekend.

Bears, their friends, and supporters will be treated to what is billed as “four days of furry fun in the sun in Brighton”

Here’s what’s on!

Thursday 22/7 – Quiz Night – The Camelford Arms (7pm-11pm)

Hope you’re ready for the Camelford Quiz

Friday 23/7 – Welcome Party (Stage 1) – Dorset Gardens (5pm-8pm), featuring cabaret by Dave The Bear @ 630pm, as well as a special preview of the Mr Brighton Bear 2021 contestants

Friday 23/7 – Welcome Party (Stage 2) – The Amsterdam Bar & Kitchen (8pm-11pm), featuring Mr Brighton Bear 2021 Final, presented by Miss Brighton 2021 & sponsored by Bear 107 (bear107.com)

Saturday 24/7 – The legendary BBW Garden Party – Dorset Gardens (12pm-6pm), featuring the Lunch Positive Kitchen, the ever-popular Al’s Bar, more than a dozen merchandise and community stalls, plus an incredible line up of performers, with proceedings compered by JonBee

NB: Attendance of The Lions Barber Collective (an international collection of top barbers, who have come together to help raise awareness for the prevention of suicide) has just been confirmed, with a dedicated marquee @ Dorset Gardens https://www.thelionsbarbercollective.com

Saturday 24/7 – Bear-a-oke – Upstairs @ Bar Broadway (630pm-930pm), featuring Candi Rell-Dq and JonBee

Sunday 25/7 – Sunday Roast – Amsterdam Bar & Kitchen (1230pm-6pm), featuring cabaret by Drag With No Name

Sunday 25/7 – UnderBears – Upstairs @ Bar Broadway (10pm-late!) – the underwear party that is never brief!

The BBW Committee has been working hard behind the scenes to deliver a program of events that will appeal to a wide cross-section of the bear community.
