Fans of proper hands-in-the-air house music — you need Ashley Paul x Luv Foundation in your life, STAT
The 1990s was an incredible decade for house music and the huge, room-filling sound synonymous with the era can still be heard in clubs, bars and house parties around London to this day.
It’s very much the main influence of a new project from three music industry veterans — Ashley Paul x Luv Foundation (UK). Since forming in 2023, the trio has released a selection of euphoric singles that are quickly finding their way into DJ sets in the capital’s clubs.
Two of these — Dance (U Gotta) and Dance 4 Your Life — are reworks of tunes by the 90s act BootlegBoys, both of which were big favourites of Tony de Vit and regularly heard on the dance floors of Love Muscle and Heaven.
On September 20th Swedish dance icon StoneBridge (of Show Me Love fame) will be remixing Dance 4 Your Life. What’s more, the group will be taking on the late, great Donna Giles’s classic club version of the Dreamgirls song ‘And I’m Telling You I’m Not Going’, which was an inescapable presence on 90s dance floors, even reaching No. 27 on the UK Singles Chart.

Who is Ashley Paul x Luv International?
Ashley Paul
A recognisable voice in dance music since the late 80s, Ashley has performed at iconic clubs, such as Studio 54, Limelight and the Tunnel, as well as releasing plenty of her own tunes — check out one of her first singles ‘When Boys Cry’, which was written by the same team behind Madonna’s ‘Dress You Up’.
Julian Napolitano
With close to three decades’ experience in the biz, Julian is an all-round talent involved in music production and remixing, often under one of his aliases — Perpetual Motion, JDS, Jochen Simms Soul Seekerz, Ruffloaderz, and Manston & Simms. He was also part of the team that wrote the Dannii Minogue single, ‘Perfection’.
Mark Loverush
The other half of Luv Foundation is Mark Loverush, who has worked with everybody from Bryan Adams and Marc Almond to Paul Oakenfold and Marcella Detroit over the course of his career. He’s Club Promotions Manager at Power Promotions and has also been married to 2wo Third3 member Lee Thomas for 23 years.
