Tucked away in the heart of Elephant & Castle, Betty & Joan’s has quickly become one of South London’s favourite LGBTQ+ hangouts, and it’s easy to see why. Part neighbourhood bar, part late-night party spot, it’s the kind of place where a quick drink has a habit of turning into an all-nighter. Expect colourful cocktails, friendly faces, a wonderfully mixed crowd and a dancefloor that fills up fast. We sent our photographer along to capture the atmosphere and the people who make this place so special. If you’ve never been before, here’s a little taste of what you can expect when you walk through the doors.
