It’s dead cruel that they make you wait right until the end of October before you can dress up for Halloween, right?
Well, luckily for all of those fond of a trip to Smiffys, 80s-themed club night Athena is hosting a costume night this Saturday.
The brief is simple — dress up as something or someone from one of the decade’s most iconic movies. The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. The watermelon from Dirty Dancing. The breakfast from The Breakfast Club. There’s a £150 prize for the most imaginative, plus popcorn, gogo boys and 80s tunes galore!
Plus, as ever, they’ll have an eclectic blend of amazing ’80s tunes with plenty of Soundtrack gems thrown in, and our trademark pop culture visuals.

Costume Competition will take place at Midnight, arrive by 11pm to take part.
