Fetish Week London 2023: What’s your pleasure?

Next month, the capital will be flooded with kinky events, parties and meet-ups when Fetish Week rolls back into town —here are a few of the unmissable dates

Last year saw the triumphant return of Recon Fetish Week London after the event was cancelled for two years on the trot due to Covid and by gawd was it hotter and more twisted than ever! There were sex parties galore and in-between, geared-up comrades were brunching, dressing up and making long-lasting friendships across the capital.

Utopian, right? Well, it’s happening all over again next month and now’s the time to start planning your week. Not only the outfits you’re gonna wear — or not wear — but also the events you’re going to grace with your presence. To make your job a little easier, we’ve picked out a couple of the essentials…

Member’s Party

Kicking off the week will be the member’s party at cavernous club The Steelyard. This is one of the only events not open to all hoi polloi — Recon users have been sent an invite and are given a chance to put a face to some of the listings they’ve been chatting to on the platform. Baby Lame is on hosting duties and she’ll be getting the crowd primed for seven days of untold debauchery.

Fetish Cabaret / FWL Cinema Screening

Just in case you need to take a break from the darkroom, there are two events happening at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern during the week that highlight the cultural side of fetishes. The first is a screening of ‘In From The Side’, the crowdfunded film about a romance at the heart of a gay rugby club in London, on Monday 11th. The following day, it’s the yearly Fetish Cabaret, during which the inimitable Virgin X will be hosting a night of sex-positive performances from the fields of burlesque, comedy, cirque and more.

Full Fetish

This is always the main party that happens on the Saturday, bringing together kinksters of all persuasions under one roof to explore and enjoy
a wonderland filled with play equipment and bespoke areas for different fetishes. There are a couple of firsts with this year’s event — for one, it’s the debut outing at the three-floor superclub Egg London and added to that, Manue G is going to be the first-ever woman DJ to play the party. She’s going to be joined by Cathal, David Robson, Cenkk, Harry Gay and Lee Harris, all treating dancers to some hot and heavy beats. VIP tickets are almost sold out, so act quick if you want queue jump, free Prosecco and a private lounge.

Spit Roast Social

It’s the day after Full Fetish – you’re feeling a little delicate, maybe even a little emotional. The only thing for it is to rouse yourself off the sofa and sign off Fetish Week with Spit Roast Social. This laid-back soiree will take place at Fire and you can look forward to performances, music from DJ Gordon John and hosting from Letitia Delish. You can also get bottomless drinks as an add-on, as well as some food. A lovely opportunity to catch up with new acquaintances and toast another unforgettable Fetish Week.

Recon Fetish Week London runs from Sunday 9th to Sunday 16th of July. The full programme of events can be seen at fetishweek.com
